Review: Dead Star The story is about a man named Alfredo who has a fiance named Esperanza but he fell inlove with another woman who is Julia Salas. The unforbidden love happens but Julia know that Alfredo have a wife so she congratulates her. Years have passed and their love is gone. It's like that the stars are dead even though it still shines. The story is composed well and the character development is great while the story moves along. The settings vary where the story happens and accuracy of the story is very well made. The  plot and theme makes the story more politically/love related issues. It makes us understand that even forbidden love ends, and first love never dies.

Review: Fray Botod         Fray Botod is about a hypocritical priest back in the Spanish Era by Graciano Lopez Jaena. The story story is about how the priest use religion to abuse the power agains Filipinos. The priest neglects his parish duties, pursue gambling, threatens and punish students repeatedly then treats workers severely and generally conducts business in corrupt mindset.           The overall story is good and it shows the abuse and brutallity of the friar back in the 1800's. The characters and the settings completely organized with the plot and it makes the story more realistic based on the described place. It makes us understand that we should not let someone handle ourselves that could make them a man that could destroy themselves and the country. We should fight and let our country men have freedom that could make the country better and patriotic for the sake of the Philippines.
